BAR Safari

The Browning BAR Safari is a classic traditional gas-operated, autoloading BAR that features a safari-style profile. This model sports a beautiful engraved forged steel receiver which is accented with scroll engraving and at the same time it is drilled and tapped for allowing various scope mounts. Available with a gloss finish, it also boosts a multi-lug rotary bolt as well as a detachable box-style magazine. Available with an impressive 22 inch barrel in the following caliber specifications: .270 Win. and the .30-06 Sprg.

the best deer rifle on the planet.ive owned the mark 2 and now a mark 1 both in 30-06.they are beautiful and handle incredibly well.shot deer on the run at 200 plus,and rolled them. you wont be dissapointed with a bar ,old or new.

Have a .270. It's accuracy is impressive at ~1 MOA. Taken many deer and never had a misfeed or jam.

I've owned 2 30-06 BAR's the first I purchased in 1966 when I was 15 years old. That gun is still in the "Family", it was given to a long time friend along with a 2-7 Leupold Vari X II. The gun cost $189 new from Sears. Loved it so much I bought another in 1980. I'm a Lefty not many choices in 65.

i own one in .338 win mag best gun i've ever bought, a little pricy, i paid 1,300 for mine. got it with the muzzle break and BOSS, extremely accurate. Browning is truely as they say "the best there is"
