597 VTR .22 LR Rimfire
The Remington 597 VTR .22 LR Rimfire Rifle has all the features of the standard model and adds a top-mounted 1913 Picatinny rail for accommodating optics and a low-profile 10-round magazine. It has a 16" barrel with a nonreflective matte finish as well as a Pardus collapsible lock. It features the same teflon-coated moving parts as the standard and FLX versions of the 597. The barrel of the VTR edition is a 16" matte blued while the caliber remains the same. With a collapsible stock, the approximate weight of the model is only 6.75 lbs. The VTR has features derived from the R-15 platform from Remington.
