Savage Model 116 Bear Hunter

Proving to be a major hit for hunters of the larger game is the Savage Model 116 Bear Hunter rifle. This robust weapon has the toughness necessary for operating out in the great beast's environment, and is reassuringly reliable.

An aluminum bedding system helps secure the free-floated 23 inch fluted barrel, which is stainless with medium-contours. The long-action version weighs in at around 8 pounds, but any back punch this gun may have is significantly channeled by recoil pads, much to the relief of the user.

Although the name suggests it should only be used for the hunting of bears, in actual fact the Model 116 is an ideal companion for tracking most large game and, as a consequence, is proving to be immensely popular.
