Good news for North Central Florida huntersThe Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission proposed a week long bear hunting season. In Florida, this is something that hasn't happened in 20 years. FWC says that the bear population is rising ,so a week hunting season would be appropriate.
However there are experts that came up with other options. One of them says that hunters should pay $100 in order to have the permission to kill a bear, but experts from Carson Springs Wildlife Conservation in Gainesville say that this rule might not be followed if it goes through. FWC also has its rules regarding bear hunting, they want to allow only one bear per person and to forbid the hunting cubs and the use of bait.
