Browning Model 81 BLR Takedown Launched

The Browning Model ’81 BLR Takedown is the latest addition to the family of rifles produced by the manufacturer and it features an aircraft-grade alloy receiver that has a blue finish and is drilled and tapped for allowing scope mounts. Available with a blued finish barrel, the Takedown features a crowned muzzle and adjustable sight. Similar with the receiver, the barrel of the BLR is drilled and tapped for scope mounts.


A lever action rifle, the BLR Takedown features a rotating bolt and a detachable box magazine. The stock is made out of gloss finish walnut and is checkered, offering a straight grip. Other important features of this Browning rifle include the recoil pad and as an optional feature, the scout-style scope mount.


The Browning Model ’81 BLR Takedown is available with the following calibers: 223 Rem., 22-250 Rem., 243 Win., 7mm-08 Rem., 308 Win., 358 Win., 270 Win., 30-06 Spfld., 7mm Rem. Mag., 300 Win. Mag., 300 WSM., 270 WSM., 7mm WSM., 450 Marlin and the 325 WSM. The barrel length varies from 20” to 24” depending on the model. The price tag varies from $959 MSRP to $1,039 MSRP.
