The Ruger No. 1 Medium Sporter comes with a sliding tang safety that can provide instant security, accessibility and visibility. The ejector mechanism of this model provides significant leverage at the point where the ejector engages the cartridge case and can be easily adjusted to provide extraction only. The model benefits from an Alexander-style forend, grip cap, a sporting-style buttpad and sling swivel studs. Lastly, it sports a patented Ruger scope mounting system with quarter-rib integral scope bases that accommodate the bundled scope rings.
