BSA Optics Rifle Scopes

In more than a hundred years BSA has fully grown from a small-sized union of gunsmiths to become one of Britain’s important industrial groups. The story of this company is not entirely one of steady progress and expansion as there is drama and excitement too. And because the BSA Company has served its country more directly than most private concerns, its story is also an important part of Britain’s history. As an emblem of their skills they adopted the sign of three crossed rifles, which has since became globally-known as the Piled Arms trademark. The object of forming a company was to begin making small amis by machinery to meet the growing competition from the mechanized government factory at Enfield. A 25 acre site was bought at Small Heath, in that time just outside the Birmingham boundary, and two years later the factory was in operation.

By the year 1866 the company could record a staggering profit of more than £7,000 and in a few short years - aided by the turbulent international politics of the time - it became the largest private arms manufacturer in all Europe. One order from the Prussian government, then at war with Austria, was not for rifles but for cartridge cases - 40 million of them. Rather than turn it down the directors acquired a munitions factory and changed the title to the Birmingham Small Arms and Metal Company Limited. This name was used until 1897, when munitions work was given up and the company reverted to its original title. The early prosperity was however short-lived. As wars ceased the demand for weapons fell, and the private arms trade was the first to suffer.

BSA Optics was formed in the end of the 20th century, in 1996. BSA Optics currently produces rifle scopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, lasers, red dots and shooting accessories. They are best known for producing a quality rifle scope at a very reasonable price in comparison with other models from other manufacturers. In 2004 BSA introduced the first rifle scopes specifically designed for the .17 HMR and they have become a flagship item for the company.
The Huntsman “Touch enough for a ten point” series scopes have everything a hunter could wish for and that is why these series are the most popular rifle scopes in their portfolio. Multicoated lenses that make game appear bright and sharp with less reflection. A simple and clean design with a non-reflective black matte finish is what BSA Optics can offer you. They are fogproof, waterproof and shockproof. The long eye relief makes it easier to get on target when the game is on the move. With easy to adjust windage and elevation turrets, this is every hunter’s dream come true. The latest additions to the series, the Huntsman RGB scopes feature illuminated center dot technology, with multiple brightness settings of RGB for precision shot placement in all possible lighting conditions.

Re: BSA Optics Rifle Scopes

I don't have confidence in BSA Optics, I had 3 scopes and they all broke down on me when I needed them the most. Maybe it was bad luck or something but I will not buy from them for a long time. How was your experience(s) with a BSA rifle scope :?:

I don't have any experience with them, and won't ever have any experience with them! I've heard and read too much negative stuff. Reviews are enough to keep me from trying one.

Re: BSA Optics Rifle Scopes

I have at least 10 thought they were the best scope made. Now they must have a real problem I bought 4 just recently 6x24 huntsman one was junk straight out of the box returned it to Fla. didn't know they switched to Houston took eight weeks and numerous phone calls to get a new scope.
Sent my 6x24 platinum in on the 4th of January to Huston after numerous phone calls and having to give them a tracking number and arguing with customer service and getting hung up on. I had to threaten with better business to get a call back only to have them ask for a sales receipt for a 6 year old scope that was an upgrade from bsa so no receipt. Now they want return shipping along with cost of repair.
I told them either ship it back or keep it. I will never buy another one and I recommend no one buy a bsa scope
