Docter Rifle Scopes

By taking over the former VEB Carl Zeiss Jena works in Thuringia in 1991, the company DOCTER inherited a rich tradition in the field of precision optics, and has established an engineering company renowned all over the world by means of the latest technology. Since 1997 the company Analytik Jena AG has successfully continued this tradition by employing the latest results in the fields of mechanics, optics and electronics. The skill of the employees paired with the innovative technical know-how ensures top products from Thuringia. Thanks to the specially designed optics and a newly developed DOCTER multi-top multilayer coating, DOCTER classic rifle scopes offer incomparable image brilliance and color correctness. The high-precision alignment of the optical system in a high tensile aircraft aluminum tube guarantees reliable operation and permanent shock resistance. Nitrogen filling and hermetic sealing keep a DOCTER rifle scope permanently dust-free, weather and climate resistant.

The latest discoveries in optics and manufacturing technology are used in developing and refining their products. Through extensive research optical quality and reliability have been improved continuously. Their telescopic sights are exhaustively tested and are subject to strict quality control - item by item. For years their rifle scopes have been made to the highest optical and mechanical standards. They are the result of many years’ experience in modeling optical systems with the finest image reproduction. The optical systems of all their rifle scopes are factory-adjusted to be parallax-free to 100 m. The image-inversion system ensures that the reticle remains centered in the field of vision, even after subsequent adjustment (centered reticle). The reliability of their rifle scopes is not affected by even the most extreme climatic conditions. DOCTER rifle scopes are permanently shockproof and reliable, thanks to the precision mounting of their optical systems. The adjustment range of any reticle can be varied in one direction without affecting the others. The precision adjustment system guarantees exact click adjustment and reproducible sight settings.

The extremely quiet click adjustments combined with very accurate scale disk for easy, reliable and exact memory of the zero point ensure reproducible target correction. The value of each click step corresponds accurately with the centimeter grid. Step-less adjustment of magnification, silent and without any play. Thanks to the new design of the magnification ring the marksman can immediately see the magnification setting. Image correction by means of at least ± 2.5 dioptres. The broad rubber ring at the end of the ocular minimizes the chances of injury through recoil. Four-lens high quality optics in the objective section together with the other multi layer coated optical surfaces, ensure excellent reproduction, high contrast and brilliant imaging. Thanks to the precision reticle adjustment the sight follows every click and guarantees precise target location changes during the shooting competitions. Nitrogen filling prevents clouding of inner lens surfaces and guarantees secure operation, even under extreme climatic conditions.

The state of the art electronic control guarantees ease of handling of the illuminated dot brightness control. The control of the illumination unit is done by means of a tumbler switch, which allows adjustment of the light point intensity and also serves as on-off switch. The memory function stores the last setting and is immediately available at the next switch-on, which is a great feature in driven game hunting. Three hours after the last operation of the illumination unit, the device is automatically switched off, which prolongs battery life substantially. The tumbler switch avoids accidental switching on or off of the illumination unit. The new illuminating unit is easy to operate, even when wearing gloves. The tip control brightness control is deliberately placed as a third knob, mounted flat against the main tube, which keeps it well away from the shooter`s eye. An additional CR 2032 lithium coin cell battery can be stored in one of the elevation caps. The innovative illumination unit - the top product from the house of DOCTER.

Re: Docter Rifle Scopes

Nice review! I have the Docter 56514 Sport VZF 3-9x40 1" Tube Riflescope w/ Plex Reticle but I have problems with the eye relief and in low light conditions, the scope is not that good. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Any advice?
