glad to meet ya
My name is Dan, glad to meet ya...I'm originally from Minnesota and work in the trades so get to travel a lot. I call it scouting! Grew up on a farm so have hunted and trapped nearly all my life although I quit trapping a few years ago. I enjoy hunting because of the chase whether it's developing a new load for a rifle or glassing a hillside. I'm not a collector of guns but I do google over some of my friends collections and what I see at the shows. I've only kept what I need and use, which would be a .22 for small stuff, .243 for bigger stuff, and a .338 for great big stuff, and a 12 guage for the stuff that flys, honks, quacks, cackles, and gobbles. The hunts I truly enjoy are in the places I've never been before because it requires me to be everything from a cook to a navigator to a scout, and if I want to come home with more than a story...if I want to share some of the hunt with my freinds and family back home with out having to say the words... woulda, shoulda, coulda, (been there done that!)...I gotta be a hunter.
