The Remington Model 700 BDL 50th Anniversary Rifle
It was way back in 1962 when Remington first brought to the gun world the Model 700 BDL rifle - to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this immensely popular weapon, they have developed a special version, which was showcased at the recent SHOT show in Las Vegas.
This commemorative rifle is chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum, just as the original was, and is a wonderful reproduction, although it does include the small detailed improvements, which have been added intermittently over the past 5 decades. It certainly retains the smooth action and classic appearance that is so attractive to rifle devotees all over the world.
The longevity of the Model 700 BDL is greatly respected, and this collectors item will be highly sought after. There will be a counter argument that anybody looking for an early variant of the 700, would be better served, from a financial perspective at least, by purchasing a basic used item, as this special edition will inevitably be costly. However, sentiment is sure to see the rifle being in great demand.
