Semi-Auto B.E.A.R. (Brown Enhanced Automatic Rifle)For many people the AR-15 semi-automatic is accuracy and reliability all rolled into one, but the new Brown Enhanced Automatic Rifle, better known as the B.E.A.R, not only upholds those qualities, but its unique upper half also makes the gun more user-friendly, and more resistant to any sort of contamination from things like sand or dust. Its piston system is completely different from any other ever designed, with no O-ring seals, plus it is supported only by the hand guard, as opposed to the actual barrel in all other designs.
A regulator block allows the user to shift its suppression, and the carrier tilt in the buffer tube, which so often causes a problem in other piston weapons, is totally eliminated with the introduction of a guide system in the upper hand guard. The lower hand guard can very easily be detached, and as a consequence, can allow simple access for maintenance and disassembly. The addition of a dust wiper is a clever touch, as is the folding charging handle, which has an ambidextrous design, meaning it can easily be reversed without the need for specialist tools, whether it is for use by a left or right hander.
