BAR LongTrac Realtree AP Left-HandBrowning were well represented at 2012 SHOT show in Las Vegas, which recently finished. Amongst those guns showcased was their latest offerings from the BAR range of rifles, with the left-handed Long Trac Realtree AP proving popular. Its impressive features include an aircraft graded aluminium alloy receiver, drilled and tapped for scope mounts, with the bolt release lever incorporated into the receiver itself.
The barrel is individually machined from hammer-forged, heat-treated billets of steel, with a stock which is adjustable for cast on and off. It has an interchangeable recoil pad, plus sling swivel studs installed into both the stock and the forearm. The rifle is a gas operated autoloader, with cross bolt safety and has a composite trigger guard and floor plate. The trigger itself has a smooth single-stage pull and can be easily removed for maintenance and cleaning.
The accuracy has been improved still further by the strong and rigid bar and inertia block, which reduce vibrations in the barrel. The buffering system reduces the stresses and wearing that the rifles mechanism receives. The left-handers among the shooting fraternity will be delighted with this latest addition to the Browning armoury.
