Now this is a question many of you ask (or at least asked sometimes in the past). So I think it deservers some answer form us. We invite you to share your opinion with us !

Hunting in our days can be seen as : A - a need B - a hobby

A - a need - people all around the world (especially in poor countries like Africa, India) hunt animals to feed themselves and their family. There are entire tribes that only hunt animals and use whatever fruits the forest gives them. Should we blame them ? Should we blame you if, instead of sitting now in front of your PC, reading this, would be rushing after an elephant (that can kill you in several seconds) thinking that if you will put it down, your whole tribe will have food for the coming month ? And this only with some bows, not with proper rifles/guns ? When you go to a luxurious restaurant and eat wild boar, do you think of the hunters who stayed hours and hours (maybe in cold rain) waiting for that boar to show up ?

B - a hobby - in nowadays, wherever we look we can see violence and crimes. When our soul is filled with anger and violence, and sadness because of the failures we had so far, what should we do ? Many usually say “I went hunting because I wanted to get rid of that anger, I wanted to stop being the prey in life, and for once, be a hunter”. I think it’s a great way to get rid of stress, anger and bad feelings. And when there are so many hunting resorts out there, created especially for raising game, I doubt that we will “damage” the natural fauna God has created. Yes, what I hate the most is killing the endangered species, and the people who use over-hunting techniques. One should know when to stop.

Of course hunting is a fun thing to do with your family and friends and has benefits for you and wildlife. Hunting puts money into conservation efforts and actually saves animals. It also benefits the hunter in many ways such as getting out into the woods and getting exercise, campanionship, and using the animals that are harvested for food. Hunting puts many dollars into the state that is hunted and helps conserve habitat. I know of many people who live in states that have an abundance of game that count on game meat as their main source of meat. Game meat is very low fat and good for you. What could be bad about hunting other than doing it out of season and poaching which is illegal.

Hello; I feel its everyones god given Right to hunt, we need to do it
to keep sickness down. I dont agree with the cost of the licens. In OH
it cost me and my son close to $100 dollors for licens and stamps,
that is way to much just to get to hunt about 3 months. No matter
what the DNR say, they are making way to much money for what they do.
I do not feel that they useing the money to help the hunters anymore.
the animales are breeding and repopulating on thier own to the point
that all States have deer problems. We love to hunt and hope and pray
    that is never taken away.

i love hunting because i feel an extreme sense of domination, like i defeat the helpless.
why is that a bad thing?

i bet you that hunting is a really good fun thing becasue while you enjoy the fun you also help control the animal population

Oh please 100$ is not much at all!! Remember that goes towards conservation. Hunting is probally cheaper than most sports… I do not support hunting but i do know that money is used for good purposes.
