The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board unanimously approved a rule to only allow traditional hunting firearms.
Those include pistols, gunpowder firearms and for the first time air rifles. The new rule does not include electromagnetic weapons.Roger Sobota is on the Executive Council of the Conservation Congress.
He says the group met last night and recommended this rule to the Natural Resources Board.
Sobota says not allowing electromagnetic weapons now, will eliminate problems in the future.
He tells Newswatch 12, “Lets say a man who doesn’t get much time off from his office in Chicago, could get on his computer and could actually shoot an animal in Texas with these electromagnetic guns.”
Sabota says the next step is for the rule to be taken up by the State Legislature.
